Skillet Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c flour (180g)
  • 4.6 oz water (132g)
  • 3/4 t salt
  • 3/4 T oil
  • 1 T yeast

Method

  • Mix flour and salt
  • Add yeast to lukewarm water
  • Add oil
  • Add flour/salt
  • Mix for about 30 seconds, do not knead. Should be sticky.
  • Let rise at room temp till doubled, about 2-3 hours
  • (Optional: refrigerate for 3-4 hours to make it easier to work with)
  • Make into 2-1/2 inch balls, roll flat, about 5-6 inches round.
  • (Opional: press some minced garlic into the round)
  • Heat oil in skillet, cook for about 1 minute on a side.
