Various kinds of dal are used:
Ingredients
- toor dal (yellow gram)
- chana dal (bengal gram)
- moong dal (green gram)
- urad dal (black gram)
- masoor dal (red gram)
- cumin seeds
- chilis
- garlic
- (hing)
- curry leaves
- oil
Method
- roast everything individually in a bit of oil
- grind into a fine powder
